Greatness, Blackberry Chia Jam

*Bite*
Hello, hungry fella.
*Bite*
Listen, I know I taste really good but at least let me formally introduce myself before I am all gone.
*Bite*
Are you paying attention to me? I am the great and almighty Chia. I used to be offered to the gods, I was so important. I was given as tribute to Aztec Rulers. I have traveled throughout history, strengthening the weak and having the honor of being revered as one of the greatest seeds of all time.
*Bite*
People used me as a form of currency.
*Bite*
Can you hear me? Is this how you react in the presence of greatness?!?!
*Bite*
Hey, um aren't you that seed that grows on people's heads?
*Bite*
Well, yes, the Chia Pets and Chia Heads. That was one of my more humbling moments.
*Bite*
So, dude, you're that same seed? And I'm eating you! How rad is that! Well alright then, you are great!
*Bite*
Humbled, once again. I am so calling my agent.

Blackberry Chia Jam
If you've never had a jam that's made with fresh berries and not cooked, you will love this recipe.
Not only is it simple, but it's the freshest tasting jam you will ever have.
Because there isn't any cooking involved, the only enhancement you need to make is a bit of honey to offset any sour in the fruit.
The chia does all of the work for you.
All you have to do is wait a few minutes and spread over some fresh warm bread...
or biscuits...
or croissants..
a peanut butter and jelly?
Absolutely lovely!
Go ahead, give it a try....

 6 oz Fresh Organic Blackberries
1 Tbsp. Honey, to taste
1 1/2 Tbsp. Chia Seeds

Drizzle honey over the fresh berries.
Mash the berries and honey together.
Taste and add more honey, if needed.
Add the chia seeds.
Mix.
Wait about ten to fifteen minutes..
You will soon have a spreadable jam.
Fresh, sweet, tart..
 bright and tangy
Soften some butter
Warm some french bread
Spread and eat
