Oh sit right back and you'll hear a tale
A tale of a fateful trip..
That started from a local port aboard this tiny ship.
The weather started getting rough ...
The tiny ship was tossed..
If not for the effort of a fearless crew,
The vessel would be lost
The vessel would be lost....
Sea Sick? Weather changing? Eat some bad coconuts while you were stranded on an island?

Based upon available ingredients and your general state of health we make the following recommendation:
Ginger's Spicy Ale
Ginger is an excellent choice. Ginger is of Asian decent but has traveled throughout the world extensively. Initially she worked exclusively in the medical field. To this day, she is still licensed to help with the occasional gastrointestinal issues and minor colds and flues. Some of her patients claim she had helped them with their anti-inflammatory needs and well as pain management, but those claims cannot be verified. More recently, she has entered the culinary field and is included in many dishes and beverages, not only from her Asian homeland, but in dishes all across the world. She loves to show her spicy side and despite some current manufactures practices, true ginger ale must actually contain Ginger, herself.
Ginger's Spicy Ale
What you will need:
a Large Piece of Ginger
1 Cup Sugar
2 Cups Water
Use a spoon, bowl side facing you, and slowly scrape skin off of your ginger root.
It's one of the easiest ways to remove the skin.
Don't be shy. Her skin needs to be removed before we can proceed. It creates a very bitter taste if left intact.
Chop ginger to equal 1 cup.
Set 1/2 cup of the ginger aside.
In a medium saucepan, simmer 1/2 cup of the chopped ginger, sugar and water about 15-20 minutes.
Let cool slightly.
Add the other 1/2 cup of chopped ginger and put in a blender.
Carefully blend.
By using ginger two ways, simmering and seeping, we get double the ginger and keep a lot of the spiciness she's known for.
Let the blended ginger syrup seep (sit) overnight or while you go to work or while you go fishing. (about 8 hours)
Strain into a jar or glass container.
You now have ginger syrup.
To make ginger ale you will need...
Ginger syrup,
Lemon or Lime wedge,
Mineral Water (or Soda Water),
Add 1-2 ounces of ginger syrup to a glass filled with ice.
Fill the rest of the glass with mineral or soda water.
Squeeze a lemon or lime wedge into glass.
Stir and enjoy.
We commend you on your choice of Spicy Ginger Ale.
We, here at Recipe Matchmaker believe that the two of you will be a perfect match.
We invite you to use us any time you are in need of that special recipe.
Until next time, my friends...be well.
