There's a certain time of year
in the northern hemisphere
where the white stuff covers the ground.
Be it here, be it there
when the white stuff fills the air
it takes patience to travel around.
It's fluffier than ice
yes the texture's very nice
as it covers the landscape with beauty.
But it takes a little time
to unfreeze and unwind
after doing your shoveling duty
Such a beauty to behold
when you're out there in the cold
but there's one thing you need to know
Whether creature great or small
when mother nature makes that call
Yellow 'Sangria' Snow
a fun cocktail for your next winter party
a fun cocktail for your next winter party
Secret Sangria Mix
1 Cup Chardonnay
1 Heaping Tablespoon Apricot Preserves
1/4 Cup Citrus Vodka
1/2 Cup Pineapple Juice
2 Tbsp. Agave Syrup
Combine pineapple juice, apricot preserves, and agave syrup in a microwave safe glass.
Heat in microwave 30 seconds to help the apricot preserves melt.
Stir.
Strain into container (removing the solids) and mix in the wine and the vodka.
Taste and adjust if needed.
The liquid should be somewhat strong. Don't worry. It will dilute a little when you pour it over ice.
Find some fresh white new fallen snow.
Alternately, use your blender and pulverize some ice cubes.
Place a scoop of ice/snow in snow cone cups.
Pour your secret yellow snow mixture over the ice.
Serve!
The next time someone tells you not to eat yellow snow,
tell them try it in a martini glass.
It's pretty tasty.
